Terms, Payments & Policies
1. Bookings & Travel Services
All safari, trekking and travel services are organized and operated by The Glades of Tanzania Safaris Ltd, a registered company in Tanzania, based in Arusha. The Glades of Tanzania Safaris is responsible for the design, execution and delivery of all travel services, including accommodations, transport, guiding and activities. The Glades of Tanzania Europe acts solely as a support and payment facilitator for European clients and does not operate, control or execute safari services.
2. Payments
To make payments easier and safer for international guests, payments are made via PayPal, allowing payment by credit card, Apple Pay or PayPal balance. Payments are processed through The Glades of Tanzania Europe. After receipt, payments are transferred to The Glades of Tanzania Safaris in Tanzania. PayPal fees (approximately 5%) apply.
3. Payment Schedule
- A deposit of 25% of the total trip price is required to confirm a booking
- The remaining balance is due 45 days before arrival
- For bookings made within 30 days of arrival, full payment is required immediately
No services will be confirmed or delivered until the required payment has been received.
4. Cancellations & Amendments
All cancellations must be submitted in writing.
Cancellation fees:
- 91 days or more before arrival: 10%
- 90–46 days before arrival: 25%
- 45–30 days before arrival: 50%
- Within 30 days of arrival: 90%
Changes to travel dates within 30 days of arrival must take place within 6 months of the original date to avoid cancellation penalties.
Cancellation policies may be influenced by accommodation or supplier conditions.
5. Liability
The Glades of Tanzania Safaris acts as an organizer of travel services using independent suppliers such as lodges, transport providers and activity operators. These suppliers operate independently and are not employees or agents of The Glades of Tanzania Safaris.
Participation in safari, trekking and adventure activities involves inherent risks. Guests participate at their own responsibility.
The Glades of Tanzania Europe is not liable for:
- Travel execution, delays or changes
- Accidents, injuries, illness or loss
- Supplier performance or force majeure events
All operational responsibility remains with The Glades of Tanzania Safaris.
6. Travel Insurance
Guests are strongly advised to arrange comprehensive travel insurance, including medical coverage, trip cancellation and baggage protection. Travel insurance is the responsibility of the traveler.
7. Personal Data & Privacy
Personal information is used exclusively to organize and deliver travel services. Data is handled confidentially and shared only with parties directly involved in fulfilling the booked services.
8. Governing Law
Travel services are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Payment facilitation services provided by The Glades of Tanzania Europe fall under Dutch / European consumer practices, without creating operational liability.
